City Design Guide · Shenzhen | Over 100 Curated Urban Sites Make Their Debut
)
As Design Shenzhen 2025 approaches, we are delighted to present the newly refreshed City Design Guide · Shenzhen, a comprehensive guide dedicated to one of China’s most pioneering cities. The publication highlights more than 100 carefully selected locations that embody a strong sense of design and aesthetic expression, while for the first time systematically featuring the design studios and creative visions behind them.
The latest edition explores Shenzhen across diverse urban dimensions—art, design, fashion, lifestyle, home interiors, cafés and tea rooms, restaurants, nightlife, and hospitality. It offers readers a renewed perspective of the city: part urban exploration map, part inspiration manual for design professionals and enthusiasts. By tracing the design narratives behind each space, the guide reveals stories ranging from local designers reshaping community culture to international teams envisioning the integration of technology and humanity. These 100+ featured sites encapsulate Shenzhen’s design vitality and serve as a bridge between creators and audiences.
In addition, on 18–19 September, Design Shenzhen will join forces with four leading design studios—Rito, Matrix Design, SUNSHINE PR, and Yang Bangsheng & Associates Group—to host Studio Open Day, offering audiences exclusive insights into the creative processes behind outstanding projects.
From 18–21 September 2025, we invite you to gather once again at Design Shenzhen in the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. Here, design resonates with the city itself, and the city in turn amplifies the emotional power of design.
